Care Guide
Pastels, pleats and leather ask for a little attention. Five minutes of care keeps a piece looking first-season for years.
Performance apparel — skorts, polos, dresses
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors.
- Skip fabric softener — it coats the fibers and kills the wicking.
- Hang dry or tumble dry low. High heat relaxes the elastane.
- To restore pleats, press with a cool iron along the fold, or hang in a steamy bathroom.
Knitwear
Hand wash cool or dry clean, then dry flat on a towel — never hang a wet knit. Store folded, not on a hanger, and de-pill gently with a fabric comb.
Leather gloves
- Remove by easing each finger out, not by pulling at the cuff.
- Air dry flat after a round, away from direct heat or a car dashboard.
- Never machine wash — cabretta leather stiffens permanently.
- Rotate two gloves in a season and both last noticeably longer.
Golf shoes
- Wipe the leather with a damp cloth after play, then air dry at room temperature.
- Use a shoe tree or paper to hold the shape while drying.
- Clean the outsole with a soft brush; treat the upper with a neutral leather conditioner seasonally.
- Blot the ruffle collar rather than scrubbing it.
Quilted bags, headcovers and accessories
- Wipe the shell with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry fully before storing.
- Store the Sunday bag upright and dry; long-term damp is what breaks water resistance.
- Spot clean headcovers, bows and scrunchies. Do not machine wash.
Champagne-gold hardware
Buff with a dry, soft cloth. Keep hardware away from sunscreen, perfume and chlorine — those dull plated finishes faster than anything on the course.
Drinkware
Hand wash bottles and tumblers and air dry them upside down. Neither is dishwasher or microwave safe, and dishwasher heat is what warps insulated seals.
